After 17 seasons and eight state tournaments, Liberty Bell girls' basketball coach Mike Bourne has called it quits. Bourne amassed a 268-126 (.680) winning record as a high-school coach. He retires as the all-time winningest coach in the history of the Caribou Trail League. Two Lady Lions he coached went on to prominent college careers--Lynn Brown was a starter at Loyola Marymount, and Jennifer Paluck, who scored just under 2,000 high-school points playing for Bourne, went on to star at Eastern Washington University.
