The Okanogan Conservation District’s annual spring plant sale is just around the corner and the ordering deadline is quickly approaching. The District has a variety of over 20 native coniferous and deciduous trees, and flowering shrubs available this year for purchase. Native plants can be used for many things including riparian buffers, wildlife habitat or for landscaping your yard. Because these plants are native to the area they thrive in our climate and often times require less water and maintenance than exotic species.

The deadline for ordering plants is February 5th. Brochures and order forms are available at the office located at the USDA service Center in Okanogan and on the Districts website okanogancd.org. If you would like a brochure/order form mailed to you please contact the district office at 509- 422-0855 ext. 5.

A 50% deposit is required for each order. Late orders will be accepted, but there is no guarantee on the availability of the plants after the February 5th deadline.

Plant orders will be available for pickup on Friday, March 19th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM and on Saturday, March 20 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds.
