U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers says she's pregnant with her second child.
McMorris Rodgers made the announcement on her Twitter and Facebook pages Monday night. She says she'll be having a baby girl a few weeks before Christmas. She and her husband already have a 3-year-old son, Cole.
McMorris Rodgers represents Washington's 5th Congressional District in Eastern Washington. She is vice chair of the House Republican Conference, which makes her the fourth highest-ranking House Republican and the highest-ranking Republican woman.
She's up for re-election this year, but a handful of little-known Democrats have filed to challenge her, and she is heavily favored to win.
