Record collectors Steve Laughery (left) and John Heyrend (right) bring you two hours of classic Big Band Jazz on KOMW's Swing Shift every Saturday morning from nine to eleven. Hear ALL your favorites (Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Woody Herman, etc), plus a few lesser-known surprises (remember Ernie Fields, Blue Barron, Jean Goldkette, or The Mona Motor Oil Twins?)! Be sure to tune-in for lots of fun, swingin'  music from the 1920's, 30's, 40's, and early 50's!

March 6 - The great sounds of the Big Band Era keep coming your way!  Sammy Kaye, Jan Garber, Jan Savitt, and many more!

March 13 - Our regular mix - your favorite Big Band music from Bob Strong, Lucky Millinder, Benny Goodman, and many more!

March 20 - SPECIAL SHOW!  Time for our annual "Goodbye Winter/Hello Spring" Special!  Two hours of swinging sounds all about Spring, Baseball, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter!  "Spring is Here'"by Maxine Sullivan; Ray Herbeck and his Orchestra with "Two Spring Tonics"; Benny Goodman's "Spring Song"; Johnny Mercer singing "Spring, Spring, Spring"; and lovely Kay Starr reminding us, "It Happens Every Spring"!  PLUS - John Heyrend will have a special set of songs all about baseball, including "Joltin' Joe DiMaggio" by Les Brown, and "Did You See Jackie Robinson Hit That Ball?" by Count Basie!  Bob Strong  and his Orchestra perform "The Irish Washerwoman", Bunny Berigan's Big Band swings its way through "The Wearing of the Green", and Jimmie Lunceford and his Orchestra perform "Easter Parade"!

March 27 - More of our regular mix - big hits and forgotten surprises from the Swing Era!  Glenn Miller, Fletcher Henderson, Orrin Tucker, and more!

April 3 - SPECIAL SHOW!  Time for our annual "April Fool's Day" program (a couple days late!).  Be sure to tune-in for lots of goofy sounds like Guy Marks' "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas", Woody Herman's "Laughing Boy Blues", and, of course, plenty of offerings from the likes of Louis Jordan and Spike Jones!

April 10 - We keep swingin' on into Spring!  Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Herman, Bob Chester, and so many more wonderful stars of the Big Band Era! 

April 17 - Our regular mix - KOMW's weekly trip back to the glory days of the Big Bands!  Charlie Barnet, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and so many more!
