Residents of Okanogan County, and most of North central Washington were awakened this morning by a 4.6 magnitude quake that awakened caused little serious damage.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reports it occurred at 5:09 a.m. Friday and was centered five miles west south west of Riverside, in the Green Lake area.

We have reports from callers saying they felt it as far away as Republic, Conconully, Twisp, Havillah, Toroda Creek and Leavenworth. CIGV radio in Penticton tells us it was felt in at Apex mountain and in the Kelowna district as well.

The quake was strong enough to knock clocks off walls, and we have one report of a chandelier being knocked down.
