Allard Case Now Murder Investigation

The Okanogan woman charged with attempted murder now faces murder charges after her husband died Saturday from the gunshot wound he received three days before.

Forty-seven year-old Daniel C. Allard, of Okanogan died Saturday at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said the case is now considered a murder case. He said an autopsy is scheduled this week.

Allard was shot in the head at his home on Elmway early Wednesday morning. His wife, 54-year-old Sharon A. Allard — who called 911 and reported that she shot her husband — was arrested on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder. She is currently being held in the Okanogan County Jail on a $750,000 bail.
