Annual Fish and Wildlife roundtable Sept. 26 in Brewster

Sep 12, 2013

Residents of northcentral Washington will have an opportunity to discuss fish and wildlife issues with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Director Phil Anderson and regional staff in a roundtable-style meeting Sept. 26 in Brewster.

The 12th annual public roundtable is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Cove Recreation building, located at 508 W. Cliff Ave. in Brewster on the Okanogan-Douglas county line.

“This is a great opportunity for people interested in the state’s fish and wildlife to get together with WDFW staff and discuss the management of these resources,” Anderson said. “I always enjoy visiting the community and discussing with people the issues of interest in the region.”

Joining Anderson at the meeting will be WDFW Deputy Director Joe Stohr, the department’s newly appointed Northcentral Regional Director Jim Brown, and other regional field staff.

“I look forward to meeting people and hearing about their issues and concerns,” said Brown.  “Even if these are ongoing or reoccurring issues, as the new regional director I want to give them a fresh look, listen to ideas that folks may have on how to address them, and try to find solutions to their concerns.”
