Applications now open for $1.2 million in CRRSA Act student funding

Apr 28, 2021

Students can now apply for Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act funding. CRRSA Act funding is the second round of the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds. Wenatchee Valley College will receive $4.3 million, $1.2 million of which will be distributed directly to students.

Student CRRSA Act funding will provide direct emergency cash grants to college students whose lives and educations have been disrupted by the pandemic. More students are eligible for this second round of funding, compared to the first.

Students can learn more and submit applications at wvc.edu/ReliefFunds.

The funds must be spent within one year of allocation. Applicants must meet citizenship or non-citizenship eligibility for federal financial aid. If not eligible, they may still qualify for assistance through the WVC counseling office (509-682-6850, bsanchez@wvc.edu or rpoortinga@wvc.edu).

In April 2020, Wenatchee Valley College received the first round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, $1.2 million of which was distributed to students. Students that received funding through the CARES Act are also eligible to apply for CRRSA Act funds. Learn more at wvc.edu/ReliefFunds.
