Ballots Counted Thursday, All CBC Incumbents Move on to General Election

Absentee Ballots were counted Thursday for the 2015 Business Council Primary Elections that were held May 2.

With the final vote totals the numbers show all seven incumbents will move on to the June 13 general election.

In Omak’s position number one, the general election will feature incumbent Rich Tonasket against challenger Karen Condon.  Tonasket got 214 votes to Condon’s 95. In position two, incumbent Mel Tonasket will face challenger Cherie Moomaw. Mel Tonasket got 253 votes to Moomaw’s 145.

In Nespelem’s position one, incumbent Ricky Gabriel will face challenger Brian Nissen. Gabriel received 155 votes to Nissen’s 125. In position two, incumbent Andy Joseph Jr. will face challenger Sheilah Cleveland. Joseph recived 266 votes to Cleveland’s 161.

In Inchelium’s position one, incumbent Stevey Seymour will face challenger Bessie Simpson. They were the only two running for that position and automatically moved on to the general election. In position two, incumbent Allen Hammond will face Susie Allen. Hammond received just 108 votes to Allen’s 138.

In Keller, incumbent Jack Ferguson will face challenger John Stensgar. Ferguson garnered 109 votes to Stensgar’s 47.
