Ballots for the Nov. 5 general election were mailed Wednesday according to a release from the Okanogan County Auditor’s office.

If you have not received your ballot by Friday, Oct. 25, contact the Auditor’s Office at (509) 422-7240.

The Auditor’s Office, at 149 Third Ave. N. in Okanogan, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Election Day from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Voters can drop off voted ballots, obtain replacement ballots, or take advantage of disability access voting units.

The county has three drop boxes for ballots, which will be open from Oct. 17 until 8 p.m. on Election Day. They are at the Tonasket City Hall/Library Complex, 209 S. Whitcomb Ave.; next to the Omak Police Station, 8 N. Ash; and in the Pateros Mall.

Mailed ballots must have sufficient first class postage and must be postmarked by election day. Ballots must be signed when they are returned.

If you are not currently registered in Washington state, you can appear in person at the Auditor’s Office until Oct. 28th to register.
