Beginning Farming Class Offered in Tonasket

WSU Okanogan County Extension is offering training for beginning small-scale farmers. This course is designed for those who have a deep desire to farm, but who don't have a background and/or education in agriculture.

"Cultivating Success" covers the basics of everything from soil management to raising farm animals to marketing the farm's products. This program offers a good, basic educational foundation related to starting and operating a small farm.

The course will be every Wednesday evening, February 8th to May 23rd, 6:00-9:00 PM at the Community Cultural Center in Tonasket. Tuition is $150.00 or $175 for couples.
