Brewster Woman Found Dead in Rat Lake

Officials have released the name of the woman found dead in Rat Lake north of Brewster Monday evening. Forty-two year-old Renee C. Davis of Brewster was found floating face down in the water around 5:30pm.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said they aren't sure how it happened. He said there didn't appear to be any sign of a struggle and her beach towel and purse were still laying on the shore.

Rogers said, the results of the autopsy performed Wednesday showed the cause of death to be drowning. He said, There were no other marks or indicators to show that any foul play was involved in the incident.
