Bridgeport Seeks Public Input

Apr 15, 2020

The City of Bridgeport has received grants from the Washington State Department of Commerce and the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority which are being used to prepare a revitalization plan for our community.  The focus of the effort is to inventory existing land uses along the SR 173 corridor through the community, engage residents, businesses and property owners in identification and development of public and private revitalization strategies and priorities and establish goals and objectives for the actions needed to implement the revitalization plan.

Due to the ongoing public health emergency, the City is unable to hold open public meetings or community events in order to engage residents, businesses and property owners, so the City is reaching out in the form of a survey.  Surveys will be mailed to all utility account holders in the City during the week of April 20th with a request that completed surveys be returned no later than May 15th. Surveys can be mailed to the City at P.O. Box 640, Bridgeport, WA 98813, or deposited in the payment drop at City Hall or the Douglas County PUD office in Bridgeport.

The survey will also be available to complete online on the City’s website: bridgeportwashington.net

If the revitalization plan for the City is to accurately reflect the ideas, needs and desires of our community, it is vital that you take the time to complete and return the survey.
