Carlton Complex Fire Causes Highway 153 Closure

The acreages in the Carlton Complex fires grew substantially Wednesday.

Officials say the acreages for the Carlton Complex fires now include the Stokes Road fire at 3,378 acres, French Creek fire at 359 acres, Golden Hike fire at 664 acres, and the Cougar Flats at 65 acres.

Highway 153 is closed from Gold Creek to Carlton due to fire activity. The State Department of Transportation says there is no estimated time of reopening.
