Conconully Campground Opening Delayed

May 20, 2017

The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that overhauls to the Conconully Lake RV Campground water supply system will continue. As a result, the campground opening will be delayed.

“We regret to say that no opening date will be determined until water supply repairs are complete. Unexpected challenges with the water well and related plumbing are holding up the opening,” says Ephrata Field Office Deputy Manager Clyde Lay, “We will be working hard this summer to get the RV site functional and ready for business.”

When drilling in late March, Reclamation crews were unable to obtain an acceptable level of improved water volume. The Ephrata Field Office is preparing estimates for renovation of an existing well and piping for the campground.

Reclamation work crews updated the facility last summer with the renovation of 11 campsites. These improvements are as follows:
• new restroom and shower facility
• upgraded electrical system from 30 to 50 amps service
• replaced sewer components
• one fully handicap accessible campsite
• 11 new fire rings
• refurbished picnic tables for each campsite
• paved walk-way and fence
• information kiosk and pay box

Conconully Lake RV Campground, formerly known as Conconully Lake Resort, is located 18 miles north of Omak, Washington, on the shore of upper Conconully Reservoir.
