What is now the Okanogan Conservation District was created in 1940 in Loomis. Since that time, the District has worked with thousands of farmers, ranchers, forest owners, and other residents to help them conserve the natural resources that they so value.  The District’s goal is to get conservation practices implemented on the ground,  in a cooperative, non-regulatory fashion.
