Deadlines this week

Tomorrow is the deadline to return your ballots in this month’s special election for the Mid Valley Hospital Bond and the Methow Valley School District’s Capital Levy and the Bus Purchase levy.

Remember your ballots must be signed and need to be dropped off or postmarked by tomorrow.

The Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Okanogan, is open tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM to drop off your ballots, obtain a replacement ballot or use the Disability Access Voting Units.

Drop boxes are also available until 8pm tomorrow night in:

Omak – Next to Police Station, 8 N Ash, Omak

Pateros -180 Pateros Mall in parking lot, Pateros

Also this week, first half property taxes and irrigation assessments are due and must be postmarked by Thursday, April 30, 2015. Interest and penalty will start accruing on Friday May 1, 2015.

If you are mailing your taxes or assessments, please send your payment to: Okanogan County Treasurer, PO Box 111, Okanogan, WA 98840. If paying by credit card, go to:www.officialpayments.com or call 1-800-272-9829 and be sure to have the jurisdiction number 5633, Tax amount, and parcel numbers you are paying. There will be a small convenience fee applied to your credit card payment for this service.

The Treasurer’s Office does not accept credit or debit cards at the counter in the office.
