Ecology Extends Burn Ban for Okanogan County Again

The National Weather Service has extended the Air Stagnation Advisory for most of eastern Washington, prompting the state Department of Ecology to extend its burn ban in Okanogan, Ferry, Chelan, Douglas and three other counties until at least 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The State 1 ban means all outdoor burning is prohibited, along with the use of uncertified wood stoves or other indoor wood-burning devices, unless they are a home's primary source of heat.

Violators are subject to civil penalties.
