Ferry Conservation District Seeks Input from County Residents

Sep 03, 2014

Ferry County landowners and land managers are invited to share their ideas and opinions about county-wide conservation programs in a short online survey created by the Ferry Conservation District.

“As we begin developing a new long-range conservation plan, we really need and want the public’s input on what they hope want from the Ferry Conservation District,” said Dave Konz, chair of the Board of Supervisors for the district. “Providing their thoughts will help us as we develop our new long-range plan,” he added.

The survey takes about 5 minutes and can be found here: http://goo.gl/KmeJO9

“As an added incentive, we will be choosing several survey respondents at random to receive a small token of our appreciation,” said Lloyd Odell, manager of the conservation district.

In addition to the survey, the conservation district will be holding two special meetings dedicated to the long-range plan: October 29 and November 12, both at 5:30 in the conservation district office, located at 84 E. Delaware Avenue, Republic.

The mission of the Ferry Conservation District is to support sustainable rural lifestyles, local businesses, and a healthy environment through the conservation of renewable natural resources.
