Four arrested after body found in Columbia River

Sep 15, 2014

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers says four men were arrested for allegedly killing a man in a fight and dumping his body in the Columbia River near Pateros.

Rogers said a man's body was found Sunday morning, partially submerged in the water at a boat launch approximately five miles south of Pateros on Hwy 97, just past Starr Road.

Rogers says the suspects are expected to be booked into Okanogan County Jail on investigation of murder sometime Monday. The suspects and victim have not been identified.

Police believe the suspects killed the man during a fight at a property in Pateros, took the body to the boat launch and dumped it in the river.

The man's cousin reported him missing on Saturday.
