Trichomoniasis has emerged in Okanogan County. Trichomoniasis is a disease of cattle that causes infertility, open cows, and occasional abortions in cows and heifers. It is commonly referred to as "Trich", and is a disease that can be economically devastating for infected herds.

There will be a free informational meeting on Friday, January 28th at 6:30pm in the Tonasket High School Commons. The Washington State Veterinarian, Dr. Leonard Eldridge, will be giving an overview of this disease and procedures that can be taken to help prevent infection.

Everyone with cattle from 1 to 1000+ is encouraged to attend, ask questions and give comments. Call Gerald Scholz for more information at 486-1272.
