The Governor also appointed Larry Carpenter, a Mount Vernon boat dealer and long-time sportfishing enthusiast.
Carpenter was appointed to one of the Western Washington positions. Three members must reside east of the summit of the Cascade mountains, three must reside west of the summit and three may reside anywhere in the state.

Miranda Wecker, commission chair said, "We're extremely pleased to welcome these great additions to the commission." She said, "These are two strong individuals and we are looking forward to seeing their perspectives brought to the table."
