Lack of Skiers Not Snow May Close Loup Loup Ski Bowl

Mar 17, 2016

The ski conditions are described as excellent spring skiing, but a lack of skiers swooshing down the slopes may close the Loup Loup Ski Bowl for the season.

CP Groseneck, Manager said if they don’t have a really big crowd either Saturday or Sunday this weekend, they will close for the season at the end of the day Sunday.

Groseneck said it has been a fantastic year, and he really appreciates the community for their support this season.  He said they just cannot remain open when only a handful of skiers are out on the slopes.

The Spring Season pass sale is still taking place so now is the time to buy a season pass for the Loup to save big.  Groseneck said the office is open and you can buy next years pass, pick it up right there and use it to ski the rest of this season as well.  The Spring Pass sale runs through June 15th and allows you to save hundreds of dollars on your pass.  Individuals can save up to $175 for their pass and couples can save up to $250.  All of the details are available on their website at www.skitheloup.com .

Groseneck said we would love to stay open as long as the snow holds out, but we need to have the crowds to do that, so come on up this weekend.

He added, that don’t forget to mark your calendars for their Archery Event that will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend.
