The Tonasket/Okanogan Valley Lion’s Club is pleased to announce that the 2016 Tonasket Freedom 5k and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is back this year with a new date and new course. Due to the chaos of festivities on Founders Day in Tonasket, we decided to move the date to June 18th so that more members of the community can participate. We also changed the course back to the original route at the Tonasket Rodeo Grounds to better accommodate strollers.

Registration forms will be available at various businesses in Tonasket and Omak including Roy's Pharmacy, Beyers Market, The Split End, Tonasket Interiors and Grants Market. Race day registration and packet pick up will start at 7:00 am followed by the Kids 1 Mile at 8:00 am and the 5k around 8:15 am. All race entries will receive a T-shirt. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the following age group categories for the 1 Mile: <8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17. Age group categories which will receive awards for the 5K are: <10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.  Updates will be available on our Facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/259038161100386/).
