A Nespelem man, wanted on a warrant out of Okanogan County was taken into custody early Friday in Spokane after police found him hiding out in an apartment.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said Spokane Police got a tip on the location of 20-year-old Dustin Louie and sent in the SWAT team to apprehend him.

Officers had to evacuate people living in some of the apartments surrounding the one Louie was holed up in.

Authorities responded around 2:30 A.M. to the apartment complex on the 1700 block of Maple searching for Louie. He was wanted for outstanding warrants including first degree armed Robbery, first degree Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Officers said they wanted to evacuate surrounding apartments just in case Louie had guns with him.

Rogers said that Louie will be brought back to Okanogan County.
