Mazama Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash

A 74-year-old Mazama woman died in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening on Highway 2 about 15 miles west of Leavenworth.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Beverly A. McCall was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol says McCall was driving a 2001 Toyota Rav4 westbound, when she struck the rear axle of a semitrailer that was headed eastbound.

The driver of the Freightliner, 68-year-old Paul C. Hackney, of Snohomish, was not injured.

The State Patrol says the cause is still under investigation/
