Missing Twisp Man Found Dead

A Twisp man who had been reported missing earlier this month, was found dead Saturday afternoon in a drain ditch on Poorman Creek.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said, 54-year-old David N. Froula was reported missing by his girlfriend on October 3rd. Rogers said Froula had been last seen in Twisp but left on his bicycle.

On Thursday, his bicycle was found lying next to a swampy area along the road on Poorman Creek. The Sheriff's Office and Twisp Police Department searched of the area until dark.

Rogers said searchers returned to the area on Friday and searched the area around the water. He said, divers went into the water but were unable to locate anything.

Froula's body was discovered around noon on Saturday by a citizen about a half mile from the area officials had been searching.

Rogers said, "There is nothing at the scene to indicate foul play."

He said, an autopsy has been scheduled for Froula.
