NORTH CASCADES BANK OFFERS INNOVATIVE FINANCIAL EDUCATION INITIATIVE FOR ADULT LEARNERS

April is National Financial Literacy Awareness month. North Cascades Bank, a division of Glacier Bank, continues to offer Financial Foundations, a collection of educational tools designed to improve the financial skills of adults and children in our communities. This innovative online curriculum helps individuals develop the skill-set to successfully manage their finances and make sound financial decisions in the increasingly complex financial world we live in.

The Financial Foundations program uses cutting-edge technology that incorporates video, animations, and gaming to effectively teach financial concepts to adults and children. Developed by EverFi, an independent and industry-leading education technology company, the Financial Foundations program is made available to North Cascades Bank’s customers and community members at no cost.

Earlier this month, the Glacier Family of Banks were honored at the second annual Innovation in Financial Education Awards presented by Nasdaq and EverFi. The award recognizes the Banks’ significant efforts to improve the financial capability of Americans through unique digital learning initiatives such as the Financial Foundations tool.

The Financial Foundations learning experience is mobile- and tablet-friendly, and the platform is available in English and Spanish. It features a series of 10-minute learning modules that cover topics such as saving, investing, credit scores and identity protection. The program is self-paced and contains knowledge checks that allow users to measure their progress.
