Officials have released the name of the man suspected of killing his father Thursday night in an altercation at a home on Dry Coulee Road.

Thirty-one year-old Ronald E. Moore is in serious condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after he was wounded by law enforcement after firing shots as officers as they entered the home to try rescue the victim.

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office was called in to investigate, which is standard procedure for an officer involved shooting. Officials have also released the name of the deputy involved, Terry Shrable, an eight year veteran of the Okanogan County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Frank Rogers said Shrable is on administrative leave currently. He said "it's kind of up to him" as to when he is ready to return, it depends on when he is ready.

Rogers said it had been a long few days, but he said, "I can't say enough good about my guys." He said they did a fantastic job. Of course he said, we wish we could have gotten in sooner and possibly saved the father.
