An Okanogan woman was arrested early this morning on suspicion of First Degree Attempted Murder.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said his deputies were called to a reported shooting shortly after midnight at a residence located at 2255 Elmway in Okanogan.  There they located 47-year-old Daniel C. Allard, who had a single gunshot wound from a handgun. He had allegedly been shot by his wife, 54-year-old Sharon A. Allard.

Rogers said there had been no history of domestic disturbances at the residence.  He said, “We just don’t know what led up to this shooting last night and that is what we are hoping to get resolved today”

Rogers said detectives will be executing a search warrant today at the residence.

Sharon A. Allard was transported to the Okanogan County Jail and booked for Attempted Murder 1st Degree.

Daniel C. Allard was transported to Mid-Valley Hospital and then airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. He was in surgery this morning.

The investigation is ongoing, and Rogers said “Once investigation is completed more information will be released.”
