Dec 29, 2014

A 28-year-old Okanogan woman was robbed and assaulted in her trailer at the Blue Mountain Motel on Saturday night.

At around 9:00 PM Deputies responded to the trailer number for a report of a robbery and shots fired.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said the victim, DeeDee L. Tompkins, of Okanogan, reported that four masked subjects entered her trailer with handguns. Tompkins said that she was punched several times in the face and chocked by one of the suspects. She reported that they stole approximately $3000.00 in cash from her. She told deputies they four then fled the scene and ran towards south Third Avenue fleeing in a dark colored SUV.

Rogers said, Tompkins boyfriend, who was also at the residence, was also assaulted and when the suspects fled he chased them towards Third Avenue. The Sheriff said “It was reported that the suspects shot several rounds as they were running but no spent casings were found and at this time we have found no one injured from the shots being fired.”

Rogers said, It is believed the four suspects knew Tompkins.

She was transported to Mid-Valley Hospital for her injuries.

The case is still under investigation.
