Okanogan/Omak Rotary Club Announces Scholarship Winners

Press Release

Mar 30, 2014

Gary Bramer, President of the Okanogan/Omak Rotary Club, is pleased to announce the winners of the Club’s 2014 annual scholarships.  For well over a decade the Club has used a portion of the dollars raised through its fundraising activities, such as the fall Wine/Cheese and Auction event, to fund the Scholarship Program.

Applications for the Academic Scholarships from both Okanogan and Omak High Schools are reviewed by a Club committee with the top four finalists from each school interviewed.  From these four, the committee selects recipients of the Scholarships.  We are pleased to announce that this year’s top finalists from Okanogan High School are Miranda Cleveland who will receive a Scholarship of $2,400 over her three years of college and Gabriel Greene who will receive a $500 Scholarship.  The $2,400 award for Omak High School this year goes to Rachel Blakemore with McKenzie Ervin to receive the $500 award.

The Rotary Club of Okanogan-Omak is proud of the accomplishments of past Scholarship recipients and wants the community to know that our schools generate high quality students making the annual selection a difficult task for Club Members.  Congratulations to this year’s Scholarship recipients.
