Omak School District is now in the process of forming our levy committee. The levy election will fall in February 2014 and determine our levy funding for the 2 to 4 years.
The District is actively seeking staff members as well as community members to serve on the Levy Committee that will finalize plans for the levy and lead the drive to prepare our community for the vote in February. Please consider getting involved on a voluntary basis.
The meeting schedule is not set as yet; however planning and strategy work will have to be done in November so that the board Levy Resolution may be prepared on time. After the holidays, committee work will focus on educating the community on the details of the levy proposal and the need to approve it.
District officials say, “Remember – Levies are for Learning – that means all of the funds are focused on improving the learning environment, supporting school programs, procuring adequate curriculum materials, and related professional development beyond what the Legislature provides.”
