An Omak man was arrested early Saturday morning after he was identified as the suspect in the robbery of the Stampede Mini Mart on Riverside Drive on July 8.

Omak Police Chief Jeff Koplin said after reviewing the video from the store’s security camera,  Officer Brien Bowling recognized 34-year-old Winifred Pierre Nysti later during a traffic stop involving criminal traffic violations.

Nysti had allegedly displayed a knife and barbecue fork during the robbery and took an undisclosed amount of money and the register drawer.  No one was injured in the robbery.
