Omak Man Arrested in Connection with Vehicle Prowls

An Omak man recently released from jail on burglary charges was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of theft.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said 18-year-old Lyscomb Brown was in arrested in connection with four vehicle prowls in the Omak and Okanogan area.

Rogers said his office had received several complaints in the past few day of thefts from vehicles on North 3rd Avenue in Okanogan and on Mock Road south of Okanogan.

Wednesday night, following an investigation and interviews with several people including Brown, search warrants were served on a home on 2nd Avenue in Okanogan and another on South Main Street in Omak. Rogers said, several of the stolen items were recovered, which including cell phones and IPods.

Rogers said Brown had just been released from the Okanogan County jail on Friday, after serving almost 6 months for burglary. The Sheriff said the investigation is still on going.
