One Dead in Vehicle Fire in Pleasant Valley

One man died Tuesday morning in a vehicle fire in the Pleasant Valley area off Highway 20.

Sherriff Frank Rogers said his deputies, Lifeline Ambulane and Okanogan and Malott Fire responded to the scene near mile post 225 around 9:30 AM. Rogers said when they arrived they discovered the vehicle at the end of driveway, in the brush next to the creek, fully engulfed in flames.

Crews found a body inside the vehicle. Rogers said, "We do believe we know who the victim is but until positive identification has been made we are not releasing the name." He said, "At this time there is nothing indicate foul play."

Crews were able to contain to the vehicle and surrounding brush, no structures were threaten.
