Oregon Man Injured in Accident West of Okanogan

An Oregon man was transported to Mid Valley Hospital Thursday following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 20 west of Okanogan.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, 59-year-old Robin P. Wollenberg of Bellingham, was northbound on the Cook Mountain Road, turning left onto Highway 20, when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
His Toyota Camry was struck in the driver's side by a mini van driven by 69-year-old David L. Thoreson, of Salem, Oregon.

Thoreson suffered a sore chest and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Wollenberg was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. According to the State Patrol, Wollenberg was cited for failure to stop.
