Over 200 Pot Plants Seized in Raid on Omak Home

An Omak man was arrested Wednesday following a raid on his home that turned up over 200 marijuana plants, cash and a loaded AK47.

Sgt. Brad Wilson, with the North Central Washington Narcotics Task Force said they served a search warrant on the residence of 27-year-old Steven Raynes, at 122 W. 4th Avenue in Omak.

Wilson said they seized 221 growing marijuana plants, about two pounds of marijuana bud, almost $3000.00 in cash, scales, packaging materials and an AK47 rifle, loaded with a 100 round drum magazine.

Raynes, a 2005 graduate of Drug Court, was booked into the Okanogan County Jail on charges of Manufacture of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Wilson said the Task Force was assisted by the Omak Police and Homeland Security Investigations.
