The Okanogan Ferry County Chapter of the Washington Pilots Association meets Thursday, February 17th at Whistler's Restaurant in Tonasket. Dinner at 6:30pm will be followed with a presentation by retired Twisp smokejumper Bill Moody. Bill will talk about his experiences using heavy aircraft to fight fire and will include his experiences in Israel last December using Evergreen International Aviation's Boeing 747 supertanker, the largest airtanker in the world. Anyone interested in aviation is welcome to attend.

The Northwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show is February 26 and 27 at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup. This will be the 6th year the local WPA chapter has sponsored the Okanogan Ferry County Tourism Booth. Lee and Lola Orr of Tonasket and Justin and Carol Smith of Republic lead this effort every year. If you'd like to help out at the booth contact Lee Orr at 509-486-4502.
