Plant Distribution Next Week

On Friday April 24^th, the Okanogan Conservation District will be distributing the remaining plants that have been donated to Carlton Complex landowners by the Arbor Day Foundation and the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association.

The distribution will coincide with the Pateros Arbor Day celebration from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Park. Trees and shrubs of various species will be available. Any landowner whose property was damaged by the Carlton Complex or Rising Eagle fire is eligible to receive plants. Because quantities are limited, landowners are asked to carefully consider how many plants they can realistically care for over the coming summer months, as all newly installed plants need extra care including water and in many cases rodent/deer protection in order to survive.
