Results Holding Steady in Second Round of Vote Counting

With an additional nearly 4000 ballots counted in Okanogan County on Monday, the results were virtually unchanged from Election night, as Chris Branch and Andy Hover each held 53 percent of the vote over their opponents.

Branch currently leads incumbent Sheliah Kennedy by 667 votes.  Branch has 53 percent to Kennedy’s 46 percent.

Hover is leading his opponent Ashely Thrasher by 675 votes, also holding 53 percent to Thrasher’s 46 percent. Incumbent Ray Campbell did not make it through the August primary, coming in third in the four way race.

In the race for PUD commissioner, Jerry Asmussen increased his lead to 58 percent over challenger Aaron Kester’s 41 percent.

The County Election’s office estimates there are 6500 ballots left to count.  The next count with be held on Thursday.
