Second Arrest Made in Harris Murder

Feb 15, 2018

Police have made a second arrest in the murder of Seth Harris on January 23, 2018.  Omak Police Chief Jeff Koplin said 37-year-old Nancy Best-Campbell of Omak was arrested Wednesday by the US Marshalls office in a remote location in Ferry County.  She was then transferred to Okanogan County and booked into jail on one count each of Murder in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree.

Koplin said his officers had obtained a warrant for Best-Campbell’s arrest following the shooting death of Harris.  He said they then reached out to the U.S. Marshall’s Office for assistance in locating Best-Campbell.

Another suspect in the case, Robert DeCastro was arrested on January 26, 2018 and remains in the Okanogan County Jail.

Koplin says they believe Best-Campbell called Harris on the night of the incident and asked him to come pick her up, knowing that DeCastro was going to rob him.  DeCastro then allegedly shot Harris and the two fled, leaving Harris to die in his car in the area of Riverside Drive and Locust Street.

Bail has been set at $1 million for Best-Campbell.

Koplin said the investigation is continuing and additional witness interviews will be done.
