Solid Waste Extends Closure

Since Governor Inslee has extended the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order through May 4th, most of the County’s Solid Waste Facilities will be opened to the self-haul customers one day a week beginning April 9th, with restrictions.  Self-haul days and times are as follows:

     Ellisforde Transfer Station will be open on Thursdays from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Twisp Transfer Station will be open on Fridays 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Central Landfill will be open on Saturdays from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

      Bridgeport Bar Transfer Station will remain closed to self-haulers at this time. We ask that you utilize either the Twist Transfer Station or Central Landfill instead.

 Restrictions:

 Due to the social distancing requirements we will be changing our operational procedures so please be patient when visiting the facilities.  Volumes and types of waste will be restricted as well.

 During this time self-haul customer rates are:

     Up to 2 cans or 3 bags for $5.00

    Up to 5 Cans or 7 bags for $10.00

 Cash or checks only.  Bring exact change, as employees will NOT be handling money or making change. Credit Card payment will not be accepted.

Loads larger than 5 cans or 7 bags, or loose loads will not be accepted. You will not be allowed to dump.

Acceptable Items:

Household waste, which includes but is not limited to: waste that has or will cause an odor, vector, or wildlife problem, food and kitchen waste, hygiene products, and other health and safety related Items.

Items not accepted:

Common household items, such as furniture, appliances, tires, construction debris, yard debris, branches or other large bulky items. Loads with these items will be turned around and we ask that you wait until Governor Inslee’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order is lifted to haul these types of materials.
