TICE RANCH, AUCTIONS FOR $3.108 MILLION

Oct 17, 2014

Thursday  afternoon, J. P. King Auction Company auctioned the Tice Ranch near Twisp for $3.108 million.

A half dozen prospective buyers registered and eagerly bid on Tice Ranch for more than a half hour. The proud new owners of Tice Ranch are the newly local-to-Twisp family Robert Howson, Jr. and his wife Laura Howson.

The Howson’s recently moved to Twisp from Park City, Utah, with the idea of moving back to Park City and spending summers in Twisp. “When we saw this property was going to auction we decided to look into it and ended up buying it! As a tribute to the Tice family, we will continue to keep the Tice Ranch name with Diane Tice’s blessing,” said Robert C. Howson, Jr.

The auction attracted bidders from all across the country including New York, Texas and southern California.

The ranch had previously been on the market with an asking price of $7.2 million.
