Two people were injured Thursday night after their car struck two cows in the roadway on Highway 155 about 5 miles south of Omak.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, 26-year-old Steve Ray Track of Okanogan was southbound in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am when he struck two cows standing in the roadway.
Track and his passenger, 26-year-old Tahshaw Lee Track were both injured and transported to Mid Valley Hospital in Omak.

The state patrol said four children in the car, two age 4 and two age 5, were not injured despite the fact that none of the children were wearing seatbelts or in child safety seats. However, the children were all transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The Pontiac was totaled in the accident.
