Two Men Injured in Accident Near Elmer City.

Drugs or Alcohol are suspected in an accident Sunday near Elmer City that closed Highway 155 for about 7 hours.

The Washington State Patrol says 27-year-old Lyle Dean Redthunder, of Elmer City and 20-year-old Willis Lee Quill, of Coulee Dam, were both airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after Redthunder's southbound Mazda 6 crossed the center line and collided with Quill's northbound Dodge pickup.

Redthunder had facial lacerations and Quill received a broken hip and leg and a head injury according to the State Patrol Report.

Redthunder was reported in satisfactory condition Sunday, and Quill in serious condition.

The accident occurred around 3:45 am, and according to the WSDOT, the highway reopened at 10:55 am.
