Today members of the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office, FAA and Okanogan County Coroner returned to the scene of the plane crash off of Rise Road out of Oroville. Due the heat from the fires yesterday the scene could not be processed until early this morning. It was determined today that there were two victims involved in the crash, the pilot and a passenger. The bodies were removed from the crash scene this afternoon.

At this time we have identified the occupants of the crash but we are not releasing the names at this time. Deputies and Coroner Dave Rodriguez are meeting with family members now. Names of the victims will be released later by Coroner Rodriguez.

The two killed in the crash did fly out of the Oroville Airport yesterday and do live in the area.  The aircraft involved was a Cessna T182 and was destroyed during the crash. A fire did ensue but was contained to the immediate area.
