Wildhorse Fire Update

The Wildhorse Fire in the Mt Hull area is estimated to be about 120 acres, burning in timber on lands managed by the Tonasket Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.   The fire is west/northwest of Summit Lake. 

Three Crews are working the fire supported by air attack.  Wildhorse Fire is burning in timber and grass, in difficult rocky terrain.

Whistler Canyon Trail and those portions of the Pacific Northwest Trail on National Forest lands within Township 40N and Range 27 and 28E are closed for public and firefighter safety.

Wildhorse fire is one of 12 reported today on the Tonasket Ranger District.  All of the fires were small; mostly less than one acre and they were all east of the Okanogan River and north of Aeneas Valley.  Five of those 12 fires is contained.
