A 55-year-old Okanogan woman was taken to Mid Valley Hospital with possible injuries after her pickup rolled on the road and into the lower Conconully reservoir.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said on Thursday, his Deputies responded to lower reservoir for a report of a vehicle in the water. He said, when Deputies arrived the vehicle was on its top, partially submerged.

Rogers said, the driver, 55-year-old Haunani I. Ryan, of Okanogan, had apparently driven off the road and rolled her 1993 Chevrolet pickup, down the embankment into the lake, sometime between 1:00 am and 4:00 am. He said, Ryan was able to get out of the vehicle but not able to climb up the hill so she swam to Shady Pines where she got help. Ryan was later transported by ambulance to Mid-Valley Hospital. The Sheriff said, "It is unknown what injuries Ryan received at this time."

The vehicle was removed from the water by Randy's Towing and then the Okanogan County Search and Rescue and Emergency Management were able to deploy an oil spill boom which collected the oil and gas that had leaked out of the vehicle.
