Ferry County 4-H Market Sale

Pursuant to the Ferry County Commissioners, the Ferry County Fair has been cancelled. The 4-H office will be holding a Ferry County 4-H Market Sale for Ferry County and Colville Reservation 4-H members to help them during this time of disaster and crisis. The Colville fairgrounds located at 317 W. Astor Ave. Colville, WA 99114 has generously offered to provide their facilities for our market animal sale. The sale will be Saturday, September 5th with animal registration in the morning. Animals can arrive as early as 8:00 am and at noon animals will be weighed, tagged, and brand inspected. The auction is slated to begin at 5PM.

We are encouraging people and businesses to donate or sponsor to aid in disaster recovery and help us prepare for long-term impact to our youth and families. Donations and sponsorships for 4-H programming and 4-H youth support have started arriving in our office and we are hoping to rally more financial support. Thank you in advance to the many individuals and businesses who generously give to the sale. According to exhibitors and their families, the 4-H participants put the money into their college fund, or buy animals for next year’s County Fair. According to WSU Ferry County Extension director, Trevor Lane, “Every contribution big or small makes a difference and is greatly appreciated by all of us.” Donations, sponsorships, and the success of the market sale is an essential piece to the ongoing future of our 4-H program.
